Opening
- Special Harry Bridges historical exhibit, “Celebrating
Harry Bridges and his work with the ILWU” at the L.A. Maritime Museum. Labor History Walk - 11 am and 12:30 pm – old timers gave historical overviews at designated locations in San Pedro. Meeting at 6th and Beacon Streets - Bloody Thursday Monument. Harbor Boat Tours - with historical and harbor future commentary 12 noon and 1:30 PM These tours took 100 youth and 50 adults. WEDNESDAY, July 25 |
Labor
History Walk - 11 am and 12:30 PM– old timers gave historical overviews

Silent Auction - 5-7 PM– Arcade building (across from Warner Grand
Theatre). Art Walk - map available at kiosk in parking lot at 6th & Mesa Streets in San Pedro. “From Wharf Rats to Lords of the Docks” - A one-man Harry Bridges Play and readings featuring Ian Ruskin and guest celebrity performers at the Warner Grand Theatre, San Pedro 7:30 PM Tickets were $10 in advance through the Harry Bridges Institute. |

SATURDAY,
July 28 |
Parade
over Vincent Thomas Bridge -Terminal Island to San Pedro began
at 10 am with the closing of the Bridge. Parking shuttles were available from
San Pedro or T.I. with parking in lots under the Bridge in San Pedro or in
Federal Building parking lot on Terminal Island. Ferry Street Exit. Celebration at World Cruise Center - in San Pedro followed the parade, including: Food, entertainment, art & craft show 12 noon to 4 PM at Berths 91-93 in San Pedro. “Harry Bridges 100 Year Motor Tour” - Car Show in conjunction with the events on Saturday.
